How do i clean my stinky leather sandals?

Once they are stinky, they are always going to be stinky. You can mask them , but it will not go away.

How do i clean my stinky leather sandals?
Try putting them in the washing maching with some old towels. I%26#039;ve done this several times and gotten quite a bit of wear out of them after washing. Don%26#039;t use fabric softener or any type of pre-wash treatment, just wash with regular laundry soap and set out in the sun to dry.
Reply:You can clean them with any good leather cleaner, but to remove the smell takes a little longer. Put the sandals in a cardboard box with a lid. Put a container of activated charcoal or baking soda in with them. Activated charcoal works a bit faster and better than baking soda. Leave the sandals in the box for a few days, open the lid and smell. If the odor remains, leave them for a few more days and check again. Repeat until the smell is gone. To keep them from smelling again, use deoderant soap on your feet and either foot spray or powder afterward. Leather breathes in odors and perspiration.
Reply:I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!! INCLUDED THE IDEAS LISTED ABOVE! THEY MAY SEEM CLEAN BUT AFTER WEARING THEM A DAY OR TWO THEY%26#039;LL BE NASTY AGAIN! DON%26#039;T BOTHER WASTING TIME OR ENERGY. JUST GET NEW ONES! THE ONLY THAT HAS WORKED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME(WEEK OR TWO) IS GREEN DISH SOAP, PEROXIDE %26amp; BAKING SODA! BUT STILL IT%26#039;S NOT A PERMANANT FIX!!!
Reply:Murphy%26#039;s Oil soap in water and a gentle scrub brush. Dab with a towel and let air dry.
